These appointments strengthen the Board’s commitment to advancing opportunities, removing barriers, and supporting individuals with developmental disabilities throughout Stone County.

New Board Member: Dawne Gardner

Gardner currently serves as the City Administrator for Kimberling City, where she manages daily municipal operations. She brings more than two decades of experience in public administration, disability advocacy, and ADA compliance. Gardner previously served as the ADA Coordinator for both the City of Springfield and the Missouri Department of Transportation, where she led Title II ADA implementation, authored the City of Springfield’s ADA Transition Plan, and trained agencies statewide on accessibility, service animals, effective communication, and law enforcement responsibilities under the ADA.

Gardner holds both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Public Administration from Missouri State University and is a Certified ADA Coordinator.

New Board Member: Laura Fehrenbach

Fehrenbach joins the Board following a distinguished 27‑year career with Missouri State Probation and Parole, retiring in 2025 as the District Administrator for Taney, Stone, and Barry Counties. She now serves as the Director of Greene County Pretrial Services. Her leadership experience, deep understanding of community needs, and long-standing commitment to supporting individuals and families make her a strong addition to the Board.

Her volunteer service includes a decade with the Simmering Center, where she served as Vice President, and current membership on the Citizen’s Advisory Board, which supports probation and parole staff and the clients they serve. Fehrenbach is passionate about strengthening community supports and removing barriers for families across Stone County.
